What are the dates for the two components of the programs?
First Component
Fall 2008 Session (Applications deadline
Friday, October 4, 2008)
October 11, 2008 through November 15, 2008.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: October 11, 2008 in Oxford, MS at the
Oxford Law School.
LIVE SEMINAR: November 15, 2008 in Jackson, MS.
Deadline for applications is October 4, 2008.
Orientation Schedule
All students admitted to the fall session of the TMI program
must attend an Orientation in Oxford, MS for the fall session.
Those accepted to the fall session will attend orientation
October 11, 2008. More details will be available upon acceptance
into the program. Attendance at the Orientation is mandatory.
Every First Component student must attend one of the live
sessions. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The Orientation program will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Second Component
August 2, 2008 through December 13, 2008.
LIVE SEMINARS:
October 11, 2008 in Oxford, MS;
November 15, 2008 in Jackson, MS.
All dates are subject to change.
Currently Delta State University and The University of Mississippi are offering the second component. Only students who have successfully completed the first component will be offered the opporunity to enroll in the second component of the Teach Mississippi Institute.
